Trash pickup delayed

City of Kansas City, MO. City offices closed July 4.  In observance of the Independence Day holiday, some residents will experience a one-day trash and recycling collection delay, and City offices and the 3-1-1 Action Center will be closed on Wednesday, July 4. In addition, the City's recycling centers, Chouteau leaf and brush drop-off center and household hazardous waste swap shop will also be closed.

Residents who usually have Wednesday trash collection will receive this service on Thursday, July 5. Residents who usually have Thursday trash collection will receive it on Friday, July 6

Residents who usually have Friday collection will receive it Saturday, July 7.

Residents who usually have trash collection on Monday or Tuesday will not be affected.

The week after the holiday, July 5-10, is a "no tag" period for trash collection in the City. During this time, residents may set out more than two bags of trash without tags.
