KICK HUNGER IN THE CAN

Have you ever been hungry, and I mean REALLY hungry, where your tummy is growling and you feel a little queasy if you don’t get a bite to eat? Most of us are fortunate enough to simply go into the kitchen to grab a quick snack or a meal or run out to a favorite place to eat. Many, however are not so fortunate.
September is Hunger Action Month at Harvesters and together we can do our part to "Kick Hunger in the Can"!
Donation bags will be delivered to your home on Saturday September 21 and Sunday September 22nd. They will be collected the following weekend, Saturday September 28th. With the donation bag you will receive a letter describing the details of this event along with a few recommendations that will help make our hunger drive a success. It will contain information items such as:
Suggested items needed in the Harvesters pantry: such as non perishable food items, canned goods, baby diapers, personal hygiene products such as bar soap, toothpaste, toilet tissue, deodorant, shampoo etc. (NO glass items please)
Where the drop off locations will be: Sherwood Estates Homes Association office and a few homes in Sherwood to be determined. Of course if you are homebound, just call me and we will pick them up.
So won’t you please join me and our neighbors in beautiful Sherwood Estates in doing our part to really try and…"KICK HUNGER IN THE CAN"
