Fall 2016 Curbside Leave and Brush Pickup and Drop Off Info

KC Water Services, on behalf of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, conducts scheduled curbside leaf and brush collections each spring and fall. For Sherwood Estates the next curbside pickup will be your scheduled trash day on the week of November 14th. Many of our residents have limbs down from last night's storm and since you cannot wait until the next curbside pick-up, here's the drop off locations and instructions:

Drop-off site rules:

  • Proof of residency using a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID is required.

  • Only leaves, yard waste and brush (including tree trimmings) are accepted. Grass clippings are accepted.

  • You may bring leaves in paper yard-waste bags. If you seal your bags, use masking tape only. Do not use wire, duct tape or other plastic tape. If you bring plastic bags, please empty them and take them back with you.You may be asked to empty bags to show that there is no trash.

  • Sites are attended. Sites may be under camera or surveillance when not in operation.

Drop-off site locations:

1815 N. Chouteau Trafficway

  • Minimal fee drop off site (see attachment

  • Open Monday through Saturday

  • Free for KCMO residents on Saturday

  • Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. March through January

  • Leaves do not need to be sacked

  • Brush does not need to be bundled

  • Plastic bags and tree stumps are prohibited

  • Site is also closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 26-27 for Thanksgiving; Dec. 24 – 26; and Dec. 31 – Jan. 1
