Kansas City Ordinance 26-3309 - Fireworks Ban

Just a reminder that Fireworks are banned in Sherwood Estates since we are within the city limits of Kansas City.    The ban states "It shall be unlawful for any person to possess, keep, offer for sale, sell at retail, use or explode any fireworks in the city."   this does not apply to permitted, professional, public fireworks displays. 

 

Kansas City Ordinance 50-237 Juvenile Curfew

17 Year Olds, or younger, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian anywhere outside of their residence  11pm-6am weekdays, 12am-6am weekends.   The ordinance states "Did allow a minor under 18 years of age to loiter,wander, stroll, play, in or upon the public streets or any place unsupervised by an adult, without having the lawful authority to be at such a place between the hours of 11pm - 6am (weekdays) and 12am - 6am (weekends).  Maxi fine is $500.00

 

Vacant and Foreclosing Property Registration is Required with the City

The City of Kansas City, Mo., is issuing a reminder to owners of vacant and foreclosing property located in the City in an effort to let them know they must renew or establish registration of these properties with the City's Neighborhood and Community Services Department on an annual basis. Online registration is available at http://www.kcmo.org/vacant. Registration forms can be downloaded and submitted by mail or in person. Rental Registration is Required for Rental Properties

The City of Kansas City, Mo., is issuing a reminder to owners of rental dwellings located in the City in an effort to let them know they must renew or establish registration of their rental properties with the City's Neighborhood and Community Services Department on an annual basis.
